Giuseppe Carta is a famous Italian artist highly recognized for his still life paintings of great realism and for big and giant sculptures based on fruits and animals’ shapes.

He shows strong interest in painting since his childhood. As teenager, Carta also shows a strong passion for classical music. He decides to enroll at the Conservatory Nicolò Paganini in Genoa and then at Antonio Vivaldi Conservatory in Alessandria where he learns to play piano, until becoming a piano master. In the early eighties Carta decides to dedicate his time only to painting, focusing his research at first towards abstraction and then towards realism, becoming at that time a well-recognized master of hyperrealist painting.

In those years, he even writes two novels and around twenty short stories. In the same years (eighties), Carta meets the Genoese gallerist Rinaldo Rotta, which shall result to be very important for the evolution of his painting styles, and with whom he establishes a deep friendship.
